What is kraft paper? Kraft paper is a strong, inexpensive, and versatile paper used in the printing and packaging industries. It is often used as the outer layer for cardboard boxes. It’s also sometimes used to make things like clothing, tablecloths, and lampshades.

Kraft paper can be found in many stores under different names, such as “brown paper” or “newsprint”. This type of paper is made from recycled fibers like old newspapers or scrap wood. It has a rough, uncoated surface that can provide extra protection for delicate products during shipping. Kraft paper is often available in brown and white colors.

Kraft paper is named after the town of Kraft, Wisconsin. The first use of kraft paper was in 1882 when it was used for wrapping cheese at a local dairy company.
